I have had photography in my life since I was born, with my dad capturing me as a baby on his Rollei, and a family friend making Super 8 home movies. My sister and I had the obligatory 110 camera in junior school. The family camera evolved into a Polaroid, and I picked up my first SLR in senior school.
Cameras and photography have stayed with me ever since, covering all sorts, shapes, and sizes. Some time back, I discovered the deep rabbit hole that is black-and-white photochemistry and developers. I have also done some paper printing in the bathroom/darkroom to experience that aspect.
So, to say I love photography would be an understatement.
My interests include old-school street and reportage styles of photography.
Growing up reading LIFE and NatGeo magazines when my dad bought some, and later discovering them at the local library, gave me a thirst for photo essays and to digest ' long forms’ of photography. These images are a taste of everything that interests me.
I would love to do some collaborative work exploring the junction of text (words in poetry or verse) and images (made by me or others), or just hang out and shoot the breeze, discussing life, arts and the universe.
Take care, and thanks for reading and looking. All the best and bug love
Thank you!
